We take great pride in the scientific excellence of our invited lecturers, panels, side events and authors of papers included in Special and regular Conferences sessions at the SDEWES Conference, but there is another program that truly makes this Conference complete, and this is our Social programme.
From 10 – 15 October 2021, you will have a unique opportunity to enjoy the company of top experts in the field of sustainable development from all around the world and, through our social programme, exchange ideas in a more informal way, while enjoying the beautiful sites and history of Dubrovnik. And for the numerous Game of Thrones fans, this will be a unique opportunity to see King’s Landing from the sea.

Welcome reception
10 October (Sunday), 18:00 – 20:00h
Registration will start at 16:00 h, so stop by at the Valamar Lacroma hotel businees centre during the day to register and join us for welcome drinks where we will formally start the Conference. The reception will be held at 18:00 h at the Valamar Lacroma Dubrovnik hotel's terrace with panoramic views of the Elaphiti Islands.
13 October (Wednesday), 14:30 – 22:00 h
Prepare for having wonderful memories from the SDEWES2021 social event as we have a very special afternoon planned for our conference participants.
Each participant will receive a special ticket with instructions/schedule for the excursion and dinner. Detailed instructions and up to date timetables of bus/boats departures are available below (subject to change).

15:00-15:45 Arboretum Trsteno visit - don't miss one of the most popular Game of Thrones filming location while strolling down the finest example of Dubrovnik summer residence garden architecture
15:45-16:15 Transfer to Ston
16:15-17:00 Saltworks Ston visit, the oldest and largest saltworks preserved in the history of the Mediterranean area
17:00-19:00 Ston Walls and Kastio fortress visit - take a stroll along the fortification walls from the 14th century, also known as the "European wall of China"
19:00 – Dinner in Mali Ston
GROUP B - BUS + BOAT EXCURSION
14:30 - Departing from Valamar Lacroma hotel
14:30-15:30 Transfer to Mali Ston
15:30-17:00 Boarding boats, continuing with a short cruise of the Ston bay and followed by oysters tasting
17:00-18:45 Saltworks Ston visit, the oldest and largest saltworks preserved in the history of the Mediterranean area and sightseeing of the town of Ston
19:00 – Dinner in Mali Ston
